Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information La Clara collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Please read it together with our Terms of Service.

By using this website or sending us a quote request, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or submit a form.

1. Who we are

La Clara, Premium Stone Surfaces, referred to here as La Clara, we, us and our, fabricates and installs stone countertops and surfaces from our shop and showroom at 275 Hopping Brook Rd, Suite #4, Holliston, MA 01746. We work with homeowners, builders and designers across Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.

This policy covers laclarastone.com and every form, email and text message that runs through it. Our showroom hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, and the fastest way to reach us about privacy is sales@laclarastone.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect what we need to answer you and to build your countertops, and nothing beyond that. Most of it is information you type into a form or send us yourself.

  • Contact details. First name, last name, email address and phone number.
  • Project details. Project type, material of interest, room measurements, sketches, cabinet layouts, blueprints, photos of the space, sink model, your town, and anything else you write in the message field.
  • Consent records. Whether you checked the SMS consent box and the Privacy and Terms box, the exact wording you agreed to, the address of the page where you agreed, and the date and time you agreed.
  • Correspondence. Emails you send us, text messages you reply to, and notes we keep about your project so the next person who picks up the file knows where it stands.
  • Basic technical data. IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and how you arrived at the site, collected automatically by our web server and analytics.

3. What we do not collect

We do not take payment card numbers through this website. We never ask for a Social Security number, a driver license number or any government identification, and we do not collect sensitive categories of personal information such as health, biometric or precise geolocation data.

4. How we use your information

We do not use your project information to build advertising profiles, and we do not run automated decision making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.

  • To answer your message and prepare a written quote from the measurements you send us.
  • To schedule your digital template and your installation date, and to keep you posted while your countertops are being fabricated.
  • To send you text messages about your quote, scheduling and project updates, but only if you gave SMS consent.
  • To keep a record of the consent you gave, which is a legal requirement for text messaging.
  • To improve the website, understand which pages are useful, and keep the site secure and free of spam and abuse.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations, and to establish or defend legal claims if that ever becomes necessary.

5. Text messages and SMS consent

If you check the SMS consent box on a form, you are asking us to text you about your quote, appointment and template scheduling, and project updates at the phone number you provided. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

SMS consent is optional and is never a condition of requesting a quote, buying countertops or using this website. The checkbox is unchecked by default, and submitting a form without checking it still gets you a quote. The full messaging terms are in our Terms of Service.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the business, and only to the extent they need it to perform that work for us. The categories are:

  • Technology providers that operate this website, such as our hosting and domain providers and the service that delivers form submissions and email.
  • Our customer relationship management platform, which stores your request and sends, on our behalf, the emails and text messages you asked for.
  • Analytics providers, which receive usage data about the site.
  • Professional advisors and public authorities, when we are required to answer a lawful request, enforce our terms, or protect our rights, property or safety.

7. Mobile opt in data is never shared

No mobile information or SMS opt in data will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The categories of third parties listed in section 6, which are the technology providers that operate this website and our CRM, specifically exclude any sharing of text messaging originator opt in data or SMS consent, and that information is not disclosed to any of them for any purpose other than delivering the messages you requested. Mobile opt in data and consent are never sold, rented, leased or otherwise transferred to anyone.

8. Cookies and analytics

This website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Some are strictly necessary and make the site work, remember your preferences and protect forms from spam. Others are analytics cookies that tell us, in aggregate, which pages people read and where they came from, so we can write better pages.

We do not run third party advertising cookies on this site and we do not sell browsing data. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the strictly necessary ones may break the quote form.

9. How long we keep your information

When a retention period ends, we delete the information or anonymize it so it can no longer be linked to you. You can ask us to delete your information earlier at any time, as described in section 11.

  • Quote requests and project details: for as long as your project is active and for up to three years afterward, so we can answer questions about work we performed.
  • Consent records for text messaging: for as long as the number is subscribed and for at least four years after you opt out, because we are required to be able to prove consent.
  • Email and text correspondence: up to three years from the last message.
  • Analytics data: in aggregated form, typically up to 26 months.
  • Accounting and tax records: for the period required by state and federal law.

10. How we protect your information

The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and form submissions travel encrypted. Access to the CRM where your request is stored is limited to the people at La Clara who need it, and each of them has an individual login.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. What we can promise is that we keep the amount of information we hold small, and that we do not share it beyond what is described in this policy.

11. Your rights and choices

Wherever you live, you can ask us to do the following with the information we hold about you:

  • Confirm what we have and get a copy of it.
  • Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
  • Delete your information, unless we are required to keep part of it for legal or accounting reasons.
  • Stop text messages, stop marketing emails, or both.
  • Tell us to stop processing your information while we look into a request.
  • Ask which categories of service providers received your information.

12. How to make a request

Email sales@laclarastone.com with Privacy Request in the subject line, and tell us what you want us to do. Use the email address or phone number you gave us so we can match the request to a record, and we may ask one or two questions to confirm it is really you.

We answer privacy requests within 30 days. There is no charge, and we will not treat you differently, refuse service or change your pricing because you exercised a right under this policy. 13. How to stop messages

If you have an active project with us, we may still send you the operational messages you need, such as your template and installation dates, unless you ask us to handle those by email or phone instead.

  • Text messages. Reply STOP to any message we send. You will get one confirmation text and then no further texts. Reply START to opt back in, or HELP for help.
  • Email. Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email, or reply and ask us to remove you.
  • Both. Email sales@laclarastone.com and we will remove you from everything.

14. Age requirement

This website and our services are intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to submit a form, request a quote or consent to receive text messages from us.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and nothing on this site is directed at children. If you believe a minor has given us information, email sales@laclarastone.com and we will delete it.

15. Links to other websites

Some pages link to suppliers, stone manufacturers or map services that we do not control. Once you leave laclarastone.com, this policy no longer applies, and we are not responsible for how those sites handle your information. Read their policies before you give them anything.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the law changes or when we change how the site works. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version. If we make a change that materially affects how we use information you already gave us, we will say so on this page, and where we have your consent to text or email you, we may tell you that way as well. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
