These Terms of Service govern your use of laclarastone.com and the quote and contact forms on it. They are written to be read, not to be survived. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
By browsing this website, submitting a form or replying to a message from us, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the site and do not send us a request.
In these terms, La Clara, we, us and our mean La Clara, Premium Stone Surfaces, of 275 Hopping Brook Rd, Suite #4, Holliston, MA 01746. You means the person using the site or requesting a quote.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to use this website, request a quote or consent to receive text messages from us. If you are submitting a request on behalf of a company, a builder or a property owner, you confirm that you are authorized to do so.
La Clara fabricates and installs stone countertops and related surfaces, including kitchen countertops, bathroom vanity tops, outdoor kitchen counters, tub and shower surrounds, jacuzzi and hot tub surrounds, and fireplace surrounds and hearths. What we sell is a finished, installed countertop. We do not sell loose slabs, and we do not sell material for you or another shop to fabricate.
We serve Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire, working primarily across MetroWest Boston, Middlesex County and Worcester County. Projects in New Hampshire, or more than 60 miles from our Holliston shop, carry a travel fee. If that applies to your address, we tell you before you approve anything.
A quote is a price we prepare from the information you send us. It is not a contract, not an order, and not a reservation of any particular slab. Stock moves, and a slab you saw in the catalog may be gone by the time you decide.
A project becomes an order only when you approve the quote in writing and place the deposit stated on it, which is normally 50 percent. Until then, either side can walk away with no obligation. Quotes are valid for the period printed on them, and material prices can change if that period lapses.
This website does not publish prices. Any figure you receive from us is a written quote prepared from the measurements and photos you send, and it is the number that governs. Your quote depends on the stone you choose, the actual square footage, the edge profile, cutouts, seams and site conditions, and it is valid for the period stated on the document.
We quote from the measurements you send us, in the form of dimensions, a sketch, a cabinet layout, a blueprint or photos of the space. The quote can only be as accurate as what you give us. If the real space turns out to differ from your numbers, the price changes accordingly, and we tell you before we cut anything.
After you approve the quote and place your deposit, we come out and digitally template the space, which is the measurement that fabrication is actually built from. Templating usually happens 3 to 5 days after the deposit, and installation follows roughly 5 to 7 business days after templating. Both are estimates that depend on material availability and the schedule at the time, and neither is a guaranteed date.
The space has to be ready for us. Cabinets need to be installed and level, the old countertop removed unless removal is in your quote, and the path to the room clear. If we arrive and the site is not ready, we have to reschedule, and a return trip may be charged.
Granite, marble, quartzite and soapstone are quarried, not printed. Veining, color, movement, background tone and finish change from block to block and from slab to slab within the same name. Pits, fissures, crystal formations and mineral variation are natural characteristics of stone, not defects, and they are not grounds for rejection or replacement.
Samples, catalog photographs and website images are representative. A screen cannot reproduce depth, sheen or scale, and no two slabs are identical. If exact appearance matters to you, and it usually should, come to Holliston and look at the actual slab that will be cut for your job before you approve it. Engineered materials such as quartz and Silestone are far more consistent, but they can still show slight shade and pattern differences between production lots.
La Clara operates a customer care text messaging program. You join it by checking the SMS consent box on a form on this website. We use it to answer quote requests, confirm appointment and template scheduling, and send project and measurement updates. It is a one to one conversation about your job, not a promotional blast.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase. The consent box is unchecked by default, you can submit any form on this site without checking it, and you will get the same quote, the same price and the same service either way. If you prefer email or a call instead, say so and that is how we will reach you.
How we store and protect your mobile opt in data, and our commitment never to share or sell it, is explained in our Privacy Policy.
When you send us a request, you agree that we may reply by email about your quote and your project. If we ever send anything other than that, it will carry an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to stop by replying to any message.

You may not copy, republish, scrape, resell or use our photographs or written content on another website, in a listing, in advertising or in a printed piece without our written permission. Our name, logo and the wording of our pages are ours.
You keep ownership of the measurements, sketches, layouts and photographs you send us. By sending them, you give us permission to use them for the purpose you sent them for, which is quoting, fabricating and installing your project, and you confirm you have the right to share them. We do not publish photos of your home without asking you first.

These terms and any dispute arising from them or from your use of this website are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law rules. You and La Clara agree that the state and federal courts located in Massachusetts have exclusive jurisdiction, and you consent to venue there.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a provision on one occasion is not a waiver of it.
We may update these terms as our services or the law change. The revised version takes effect when it is posted, and the date at the top of this page always shows the current version. Continuing to use the website after an update means you accept it. Changes do not apply retroactively to a quote you already approved, which stays governed by the terms in effect on the day you approved it.
